LE CABECOU

Our local goats cheese, which comes in various forms from 'frais' (fresh) all the way through to 'sec' (dry).

Here most Sunday's we go to Le Marche de Cazals, a village about ten kilometers from Les Mespoules. It's pretty quiet at this time of year, but we can still find vegetables, cheese, charcuterie and bread, the essentials.

Madame Lapeyre from St Pompon has a small goat farm near the village and produces just enough for local consumption. She has her own line of jams and jellies too and also sells her homemade walnut oils and vinegars, together with little bags of walnuts.
